| NOTES: | HOYLE GRANGER runs rampant . . . helps make Oilers look good in a 31-21 triumph over the Chargers. Granger ran for 184 yds including a huge 44 yd TD run on 4th and 1. TWO HUGE INTs by John Hadl on flat passes (1 thrown at his own 1 yd line returned for a TD) helped the opposing OILERS build their 10 point lead LATE in the game. The Chargers had stopped Houston on 4th and goal at the 1 trailing by 3 before Hadl served up his Pick 6. Houston QB Pete Beathard completed a modest 50% of his passes for a meager 119 yds but was able to toss 2 scoring passes to no INTs while raking in a 96.6 QB Rating. Of course, Hoyle Granger in the backfield can make any QB better. For the Chargers, John Hadl did pass for 278 yds and Lance Alworth caught 4 balls for 117 yds (and a TD). Good Game Wayne... in my opinion Wayne had the lesser desirable of the 2 teams but hung with the Oilers punch for punch but the 2 INTs (to ZERO TO's by the Oilers) were the difference. Next time Wayne, you're right--we shouldn't wait 2+ years between games! |

| NOTES: | A battle of the NFL doormat Vikings vs. the AFL lowlife NY Titans resulted in a nip-tuck back and forth (dare i say...defensive struggle???). The key moment happened when the Titans were down 9-6 with 4 mins left in the 4th. NY QB Johnny Green throws a very untimely INT; however, Fran the Man Tarkenton gives it right back the next play. The NY Titans move the ball down the field and score their only TD of the game and take their first lead 13-9 leaving the Vikes 1 min to score a TD of their own. Fran moved his team down the field but the Titans held the Vikings mostly due to 2 key plays by LB Larry Grantham. One zone out of 3 covered on those 2 critical plays otherwise the Vikings would have had 1 play left at the Titans 12 instead of their 40. GG Kevin... |

| NOTES: | Very close and challenging game... NOR fumbled the KO in OT and even stopped Neil O'Donohue's FG attempt on 4th down but a penalty breathed new life into the BUCs and they punched it in w/out the Aint's ever touching the ball... close game throughout... GG Kevin!! |

| NOTES: | Whenever Jon and I play, it always seems to go to the wire. This one was no exception. The Colts maneuvered to a 14-0 lead after three quarters, but Jon led the Pats to a TD with 11 minutes to go to cut the score to 14-7. Then, with about 4 minutes to go, he led the Patriots the length of the field to the 8 yard line, first-and-goal with under two minutes to go. Four plays later, the Colts had the victory, amazingly stopping Tom Brady from tying the game. A nail-biter, Jon! As always, a true pleasure! |

| NOTES: | Late night radom pick up game. A safety against the Saints very late in the game with New Orleans clinging to a 6 point lead actually helped them hold on in this one as after a 65 yard free kick that Randle El called for a fair catch on pinned Pitt all the way back at their 15 with only 3 minutes to go. Having such a longer field to travel than if the Saints had punted from their own 10 made the difference as Mike as usual put together a 13 play 43 yard drive that surely would have gotten him in the endzone had the safety not occurred but a sack of Tommy Maddox on 4th down stopped the Steelers at the NO 33 yard line. Great game Mike! |

| Johnny Miller | 2006 | Baltimore Ravens | 26 | --------- | --------- | | 9/13/2007 10:08:40 AM |
| NOTES: | This late night random match pick up game gave us the classic battle of offense vs defense. The Ravens had a huge advantage on defense in this game though with their outstanding unit and with the Saints having the double poor rated D this weighed heavily into the outcome and more then countered the edge the Saints had on offense.Mike did move the ball deep into the Ravens side of the field many times but had 4 straight drives at the end of the game all end deep in the Ravens zone with no points to show for it as time after time the Saints had the misfortune of getting some really hurtful plays against them each time they got close. Dree Brees could not catch a break with the dice all game long either. Good game Mike you really deserved a much better outcome in this one as you called a great game.See you soon for another bud! |

| Michael Zaske | 2006 | Miami Dolphins | 24 | --------- | --------- | | 9/11/2007 12:08:22 AM |
| NOTES: | Pickup game--Mike leads the Fins to a 17-7 third quarter advantage, only to watch in horror as Jon drives twice in the 4th qtr (for a TD and a FG) to tie the game at 17-17. Then, to make it worse for Mr. Z, Jon was driving late for a potential game-winning FG. But then, Miami's Renaldo Hill stepped in front of a Hasselbeck short pass and ran it back 59 yds to paydirt with 1:15 to go! What a total change of emotion both ways! Jon has owned Mike in recent games, so maybe(?) the monkey is finally off of Mike's back. We'll have to see..... Great fun, Jon! As always, a pleasure to play such a great guy! |
