GAME SUMMARY:

This was a very hard fought game from start to finish and was well played by both teams (except for the penchant both teams displayed for incurring the inopportune penalty).

The Badgers scored the first 14 points but it turned out that was all they would get as the BC defense really tightened up in the second half, only allowing Wisconsin to cross midfield twice (they got to the BC 49 once and the 38 on the last drive of game).  The Eagles scored the last 21 points to take the win 21-14.

GAME SUMMARY:

The Aggies stage an improbable late 4th QTR comeback vs. the #3 Buckeyes.  Ohio State led 20-6 with just over 5 minutes to play in the game before Texas A&M scored 3 consecutive TDs in the span of the final 5 minutes of the game.

Despite being significantly behind on the scoreboard for most of the game, the Aggies outgained the Buckeyes 372-286.  Of great significance was QB Reggie McNeal’s extraordinary game (for him) throwing 43 times, completing 27 (62.8%) for 271 yds and a pair of TDs.

The A&M running game mustered a very average game with 101 yds on 29 carries vs. the Excellent Ohio State defense.  The A&M defense did its job stuffing the run (98yds, 35 carries, 2.8 avg... 38 on 1 carry).

GAME SUMMARY:

West Virginia falls 6 yards short of forcing Florida into an overtime session as Florida prevails 35-28.

An even first half battle almost ended in a 14-14 draw, but the Moutaineers' Rasheed Marshall threw in errant pass with time running out in the half and Florida suddenly had the ball deep in West Virginia territory. Florida converted with a second left to play giving them a 21-14 lead at the half. Florida took control in the second half with two solid drives leading to a 35-14 lead with about 13 minutes to play in the game.

Then West Virginia came roaring back. A long drive led to a td cutting the Florida lead to 35-21 with about 7 minutes to play. Florida's Ciatrick Fason made a costly fumble giving West Virginia a short field. The Mountaineers converted making it 35-28 with a 1:24 left on the clock. The come-back story continued as West Virginia recovered an onside kick. A good drive saw the Mountaineers standing at the Florida 13 yard line with 1 second on the clock. Marshall took off on a must-run and was chopped down after a 7 yard gain as time expired.

The Florida Gators hold on to beat West Virginia 35-28 as Rasheed Marshall was tackled at the Gator 6 yard line as time expired.  Florida went up 35-14 on a 6-yard run by Ciatrick Fason with just under 13:00 to go in the game, when the Mountaineers came storming back.  West Virginia responded with a 15 play 76 yard drive that took 6:00 that ended with Kay-Jay Harris running 3 yards for a TD.  The Mountaineers then got the bal back after recovering a Florida fumble at the Gator 41 yard line.  The Mountaineers then drove 41 yards on 9 plays to bring the score to 35-28.  They recovered the onside kick to give them a last shot to win.  West Virigina had 1:00 left and two timeouts to try and tie the game.  With :01 left and the ball at the Florida 11, Marshall dropped back to pass, scrambled and was tackled at the Gator 6 as time ran out.

For the Gators, Fason had another great Heisman Trophy type game, running for 169 yards on 29 carries, with 2 TD's.  Chris Leak had a good game throwing for 278 yards and 3 TD's.  OJ Small had 9 catches for 116 yards with 2 TD's, and Andre Caldwell had 6 catches for 123 yards and a TD.  Brandon Siler had 16 tackles on defense.
